Laugh. I was blessed to re-connect with her again and we had lunch and laughed and kept in touch by phone.
Betsy still lived in Jersey, but I moved to Florida. There was no one like my friend Betsy... She was funny, caring and sweet.

Betsy, was my pal, my buddy, my sweet darling friend. We were inseparable as children. Ah, the mischief we got into. In High School we branched out to make new friends but always kept that special bond. Adulthood brought us back together to share oh so many memories. I will always cherish those memories and I will always cherish our lifelong, loving friendship. God Bless you Betsy.

Thoughts of My Mommie
I was fortunate to have my beautiful mother for 46 years of my life. She was diagnosed with lung cancer December 4, 2004 and passed away due to complications of that disease, ironically, on February, 4, 2012, which is World Cancer Day. She was the kind of mother who lived for her children but she wasn’t only my mom but my very best friend. I miss her more than I could have ever imagined and need her more now than ever.
Missing Mommie
I awake each morning to start a new day
But the pain of loosing you never goes away.
I go about the things I have to do
And as the hours pass I again think of you.
I want to call you and just hear your voice
Then I remember that I have no choice.
For you are not there and now my heart cries
Just to see you again to tell you goodbye.
To say Lady I love you and I always will
And hope that much of you, in me you've instilled.
The day that you left I just didn't know
That you were going where I couldn't go.
And now all my memories of you are so dear
But gosh, how I miss you and wish you were here.
Who now can hear me when I need to cry?
It’s so hard to tell you "Mommie goodbye."
Someday I know all will be well
And I'll see you again with stories to tell.
Of how you were missed and how we have grown
And how good it is to finally be home.
Until then my memories of you I'll keep near
And I'll pass them on to those who are dear.
I miss you my Mommie, your Cassie.

To Betty's Family:
We have known Betty as many years as her cancer battle was. We also have belonged to the Lung Cancer Group at MMH which she attended regularly. She was always optimistic and in good cheer. We will back in the group come May and will prompt a minute in her memory----she was a strong and gallant lady and we shall miss her upon our returnin May to the north from Florida.
May you always keep her in your thoughtsand prayers as we will.

Cathy and Betsy,
Your mom was a good friend and I am going to miss her. She absolutely loved it when the three of you would do something together especially the spa days. She was so proud of both of you. I would bet, if asked, what the best years of her life were; she would say the last 7 years. Take comfort in all you did to make her happy and in all the happy memories.
Love,
Bonnie
