Obituary of Frank Wesley Jones,Jr.

On January the 7th in the early morning Frank W. Jones of Bridgewater, NJ departed this world to join our Lord and Savior. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 64 years, Elizabeth Jane (Flock) Jones and his sister, Jean Horner of Ramsey, NJ. Frank was a much-loved father and friend, to his devoted children: Deborah Christian of Bridgewater, NJ, Frank Jones and his wife Angela of Manalapan, NJ, Joyce Riley and her husband Jack of Moberly, MO and Christine Rand and her husband David of Basking Ridge, NJ; Nine Grandchildren: Michael, Mark, and Matthew Christian, Brittany Jones, Elizabeth Bailey and Christine Austin; Victoria, David III and Joshua Rand; and Seven great-grandchildren: Katie, Isobel, Jayson and Maseone Christian, Addison and Chase Bailey, and Ava Austin. He served our county in World War II as flex gunnery instructor in the Army Air Corp and was discharged in December 1945. He married Elizabeth Jane Flock in 1947 after meeting on a blind date. Together they raised their family in Rahway, NJ before moving to Bridgewater, NJ in 1994. Frank was an avid wood-worker and model plane enthusiast. Frank was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rahway for forty-five years where he served as a Deacon and an Elder. Since moving to Bridgewater he was a member of Liberty Corner Church in Liberty Corner, NJ. In October of 1983 he retired from Chevron Oil Company, Perth Amboy, NJ after 29 years of faithful service where he worked as an auditor. Friends may call at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, Inc., 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ on Friday January 13th, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. He will be interred at the Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church in Dutch Neck, NJ on Saturday following a private service.
