Obituary of Ruth F. Tallaksen

RUTH TALLAKSEN OBITUARY Bernards Township Ruth F. Tallaksen of Basking Ridge, died on December 8, 2011 at the age of 93. She was a 15-year resident of Fellowship Village. She and her late husband were the first couple to make a commitment to purchase a residence at the Village. Mrs. Tallaksen was born in Orange, NJ. After her marriage to T. Emil Tallaksen she lived in Summit and New Vernon before moving to Fellowship Village. She was a long-time member of Long Hill Chapel in Chatham, where she was very involved. Her passion was missions, particularly Trans World Radio, which she generously supported for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Emil. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Arleen Tallaksen of Scottsdale, AZ; Robert and Ellen Tallaksen of Bernardsville, NJ; eight grandchildren, Craig, Kevin, Cindy, Heather, Julie, Loren, Mark, and Karen; and six great-grandchildren, Aidan, William, Stella, Andrew, Dylan and Ainsley Visitation will be at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge on Sunday, December 11, 2011 between the hours of 2 and 5 pm. There will be a Memorial Service at Fellowship Village on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:00 in the chapel.
