Obituary of Albert E. Moulder

Albert "Ted" Moulder Ted Moulder, 89, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9th A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday Nov. 19th at All Saints' Church in Millington. Ted Moulder was born December 31, 1921 in Cheltenham, UK. Ted dreamed of being a pilot and got his chance in WWII, graduating from both Royal Air Force (RAF) and USAAF pilot training programs. He was assigned to the prestigious Special Operations (SOE) unit and was also in the OSS. Ted's missions had him flying bombers at night, often alone, deep behind enemy lines, delivering weapons, ammunition, supplies and spies to underground resistance fighters throughout Europe. Many of his flights have been chronicled in books about WWII, as some of the missions were the longest and riskiest of any flown during the war by any of the allied forces. The most famous of these missions was supplying the resistance fighters of the Warsaw ghetto and in Yugoslavia led by Marshal Tito. Ted eventually reached the rank of Squadron Commander in the RAF, commanding an airfield in Greece. There Ted met his wife Eva, an actress and film star in Athens. They were married in 1946, but Ted stayed in Greece until 1948, fighting against communists trying to seize Greece, as a commando on the ground, as well as in flight. Ted was truly a fighter, and continued to be all his life. After the war, he returned to Cardiff, UK and worked in business sales until 1957, at which time he emigrated to Canada. Ted worked as a salesman and branch manager for computer equipment manufacturer Friden in Winnipeg, becoming successful enough to have his own private plane. Eventually Ted moved to the USA, spending 3 years in Milwaukee, then to New Jersey. Ted continued working on Wall Street, brokering large computer leasing agreements. Ted eventually started his own successful computer leasing corporation. He resided in Millington for over 35 years. Ted has been active in starting the CERT program in Long Hill Township. Ted was always a very giving man, not only with his family, but also mentored many people. He is predeceased by his loving wife Eva in 2009. He is survived by his sons Geoffrey and Paul. Donations can be made to All Saints' Church, 15 Basking Ridge Rd. Millington, NJ 07946.
