Kathryn A. Gaynor Kathryn A. Gaynor (Corbo), 66, of Mendham, NJ, died peacefully in the company of her family at her home on October 14, 2011. Friends are invited to celebrate her life on Monday, October 17th from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave., Basking Ridge, N.J. 07920. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 18th at 11 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville, NJ, 07924. Born in Newark., NJ in 1945 to Mary and Raymond Corbo, Kathy graduated from Essex County Vocational High School in 1963. Kathy married the love of her life, Robert Gaynor, on Sep 9, 1966 and they were blessed with three children while living in Newark. The family then moved to Union, NJ and Kathy was employed by AT&T Bell Labs while her children attended public schools, each graduating from Union High School before leaving home for college. In 1992, Kathy and her husband moved from Union to their current home in Mendham. In 2001 Kathy retired from full-time work after 15 years. Among countless wonderful things, Kathy was well known for her deep devotion to family and friends, her love of books, her fine cooking and her easy sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and her home and heart were always open to family and friends. Kathy was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend who took great pleasure in helping others in need. Kathy volunteered at the Morris County Superior Court in the Domestic Violence section. Kathy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert; daughter, Natalie and her husband, Hector; Daughter, Rachel and her husband Peter; son Jefferson; and three grandchildren: Matthew, 11, Nicholas 5, and Henry, 3. Kathy will be remembered fondly by her Sister, Angela Corbo, her best friend JoAnn Tedesco, and so many friends.
