Herman R. Liesch Summered in Forked River, NJ, Wintered in Port Orange, FL PORT ORANGE, FL - Herman R. (Bob) Liesch, 85, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL. Mr. Liesch was born December 13, 1925 in the Bronx, NY to Herman and Adeline (Baer) Liesch. Raised in Millington, NJ, Bob lived most of his life in NJ and spent winters in Port Orange, FL beginning in 1991. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II and was honorably discharged with many service medals including the purple heart. He received a certificate in Poultry Husbandry from Rutgers University, College of Agriculture. Bob went on to become a successful entrepreneur as the Co-Founder of E-Z Way, Inc. in South Plainfield, NJ. Since 1973, Bob and his wife Doris enjoyed summers boating on the Barnegat Bay. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Doris in 2006, brother Walter (Bill), and grandchildren Larry and Scott. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he is survived by son, Robert H. Liesch and wife Lyn of Flemington, NJ and Port Orange, FL and their children Christian Cicimurri, Timothy and Amy; and son Larry C. Liesch and wife Linda of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and their children Lisa, Tiffany and Michael; as well as great grandson Morgan Cicimurri. Visitation will be at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 Thursday June 9, from 9am to 11am, followed by funeral services.
