The Bassingers posted a condolence
Dear Mrs. Bosland and family,
We are so sad to hear of Dave's passing. We will miss him. Especially his warm personality and joy of being around friends and family. I recall fond memories of Dave as someone who always had a smile, was ready with a quick laugh or positive comment, and made everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. Not to mention being one of BRHS East's No.1 sports fan! Like Mark, while at the time I found it embarrassing as a teenager on the playing field to say "Yup, that's my Dad up there", I frequently recall and cherish those days of listening to those loud mouth Dad's in the stands (Big Al included), telling the ref he was blind, he needed glasses, or worse. And then there were the Mom's flushed with embarrassment huddling three rows over trying to look as if they didn't know those crazy husbands. I think I recall a few technical fouls given to the home team fans..... Looking back, these are some of our greatest memories that Mark and I love to recall and laugh about now that we are Dad's going through the same experience. The best part is as Dad's now, we can truly appreciate how much our Dad's loved us kids and were willing to support us in whatever we did.
From all The Bassinger's we share our deepest sympathies and prayers and will always remember what a great friend, Dad, and a fan of life Dave was.

Mr. Bosland was a very special Vice President. I worked at Indian Point and he was the VP for Trans. & Stores when they took over the Indian Point warehouse. He was a gentlemen and the men who worked for me were very impressed with how down to earth he was -- as I also was. I am sorry to hear of his passing. He was too young to leave us. I'm sure he will be missed very much by family and friends.
