Obituary of John L. Madden

John L Madden Sr, 83, passed away at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ on Feb. 4, 2011 after a long illness. John was born and raised in Bernardsville, NJ where he resided until his death. He was the founder of the Automatic Water Conditioning Company of Bernardsville, NJ. John served his country proudly in the United States Navy during WWII at which time he suffered a debilitating injury. John also held a 4th Black Belt in Karate. He is survived by his faithful companion, Judy Young, four children, John Madden, Jr., Suzanne Madden, Debbi Madden, and Glenn Madden. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday Feb. 11, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Sat. Feb. 12, 2011 at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville, NJ at 10am.
