Obituary of Gloria Feus
Gloria R. Feus, long-time resident of West Windsor Township, died Monday, following a lengthy illness. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Feus grew up in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ and was a 1959 graduate of Ridgewood High School. She made her debut at the Valley Hospital Cotillion in 1960. While employed by Chemical Bank in Manhattan she married Frederick W. Feus in 1963 and was married to Mr. Feus until his death in August 2010. Mrs. Feus attended Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont and was a member of the Ridgewood Junior Women's Club and a volunteer at The Hermitage. For many years Mrs. Feus was an active member of St. Bartholomew's Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, where she served on the Parish Community Relations Commission and on the Episcopal Church Women finance committee. A resident of West Windsor since 1976 Mrs. Feus enjoyed working a variety of jobs, including employment as a nursery school teacher at the Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church Cooperative Nursery School, as a school crossing guard, and for the Matrix Development Group in Jamesburg. She also raised two children, The Rev. William F. Feus of Bernardsville, and Mrs. Karen Feus Weintraub of Morris Township. Also surviving are three grandchildren: William Andrew Feus, Sarah Feus, and Cole Weintraub. A memorial service will be held at St. Bartholomew's Church in Ho-Ho-Kus on Friday, January 21 at 11am. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
