Walter R. Franklin posted a condolence
For more than 30 years, my dad brought home stories of his experience working with, "Tommy." Together, they managed to keep an old, broken down railroad running and on time. Although we only met two or three times, I knew Tom like he was a member of the family.
My first impulse, upon seeing the obituary, was to run to my Dad's side and share the news. Once more, I was harshly reminded that Dad has been gone for many years.
Somewhere in heaven, an old, rickety train is passing by two railroaders as they sit in rocking chairs and swap tall yarns. Tommy and Dad are at peace. God bless them both.
May the pain of your loss be softened with the knowledge that your dad, your brother, your friend sits at the right hand of God... enjoying the eternal rest that comes to those who lived their lives in honor of His Holy Name.
