Obituary of Gertrude Chatlos

Mrs. Gertrude Chatlos, 85 of Whitehouse Station passed away on Wednesday, August 02, 2017 at her home. Gertrude (Trudy) was born on December 14, 1931 to August Pries and Amada D'Aylia in Elizabeth, NJ. She grew up in Elizabeth, NJ and last resided in Whitehouse Station. Trudy loved antiques, and opened her own business called Trudy Chatlos Antiques. She was in business for 45 years and loved every minute of it. Trudy is survived by her two daughters Carol Peters and her husband Kenan of Basking Ridge, Joanne Cela and her husband Thomas of Clinton. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Jennifer, Jeffrey and Craig, as well as her two sisters Margaret Miller and Ruth Rollo. Trudy is predeceased by her loving husband Edward S. Chatlos, Sr. and her son Edward S. Chatlos, Jr. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
