Obituary of Jane Dorothy Scrudato

Jane D. Scrudato Jane grew up in Phillipsburg, New Jersey and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.  She was a high honors graduate of Phillipsburg High School.  She attended Rutgers University and then graduated from Moravian College with a degree in economics.  She got married in 1996 and lived with her husband Steve in Hoboken for sixteen years.   She worked in the health insurance industry for several years where she advanced to lead underwriter at Empire Blue Cross in New York City and then underwriting manager at HIP Health Plan of New York.  She moved to Basking Ridge five years ago.  Jane was an avid golfer and sports fan.  She was an active member at Basking Ridge Country Club where she played competitive golf for the Womens Metropolitan Golf Assoc.  She also participated in club tournaments and was club champion for her flight two times.   Jane also enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.  She is survived by her husband Steve, mother Dorothy Swauger, brother Richard Swauger of White Township, and sister Jody Buguskis of Bloomsbury. A funeral service will be held on Friday September 27, 2013 at 11am at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ followed by interment in the Somerset Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Basking Ridge.
