Obituary of Angelina Scarano

Angelina Scarano was born on August 2, 1926 in New York City.  She is the youngest daughter of Francisca Zarate and Salvatore Ponce.  Surviving is an older brother, Rene Ponce. An older sister, Olga Russell, is deceased.  On December 8, 1946, Angelina and Stanley Scarano married in Stirling, New Jersey.  Living on Martinsville Road on the Scarano Family Farm, together they raised six children: Martha Scarano Dolfi, Stanley Scarano, Roland Scarano, Daniel Scarano, Victoria Scarano Boemio, and Steven Scarano.  Angie was blessed with 14 grandchildren: Glenn, Matthew, Christina, Jonathan, Scott, Erica, Heather, Josh, Sarah, Dan, Bobby, Jim, Andrew, and Nikko, along with 6 Great Grandchildren:  Gianna Marie, Isabella Rose, Adrian Tanner, Austen Alexander, Dylan, and Lexi.  Angelina spent many days candling eggs, washing- hanging - and ironing clothes, baking pies (especially apple and peach), canning cherries, peaches, and pears, teaching us our prayers, polishing our shoes for Sunday Mass, sewing home-made clothing, and always welcomed any and all to our home.  Angie suffered a seizure which rendered her nonresponsive on September 12, 2013.  Angelina Scarano joined her husband, Stanley, peacefully on September 21, 2013.  She will be greatly missed.
